Welcome to the Student Services Monthly Checklist!
April Highlights: preparing for fall registration and important reminders for graduating students.
Action Items
Note the Monday class schedule substitution date.
On Tuesday, April 22, all courses will follow the Monday class schedule rather than the Tuesday class schedule. Please note this substitution on your calendar.
Meet with your academic advisor (undergraduates).
On March 12, the Undergraduate Academic Advising period began for spring registration.
Students will be contacted by their Academic Advisor, Associate Dean's office (professional schools), or the Advising Center regarding how to set up an appointment to review degree requirements and to be cleared for registration.

Registration for Fall begins April 4.

Attention all off-campus students: you must set up Eagle VPN prior to registration in order to register off campus.
When accessing EagleApps Registration off campus, including registering for the fall 2025 semester, you need to use Eagle VPN and С°¬µç¾º 2-Step Verification.
To prepare for this change well in advance of your registration time slot, set up and test Eagle VPN on your computer:Â .

Note the Summer term billing dates.
Students who have registered for Summer 2025 courses will be charged and billed in early May.
Please note: Students must formally drop a summer course by the published deadline to avoid being responsible for the tuition. Students who simply do not attend courses are still charged and financially responsible for the courses unless they formally drop the course by the drop deadline.
Graduating in May? Verify your diploma name.
Please verify your Diploma Name Information through the link in the  by Tuesday, April 15. If you are verifying your Diploma Name from off-campus, you will need to be on Eagle VPN to access the portal.
Order your cap and gown.
If you have not already ordered your cap and gown, you may order them at this time. Information about caps and gowns is available on the Commencement Student Information page.
The deadline to order your cap and gown is Monday, March 31.
Run a degree audit in the (graduating seniors).
Look for the following message: "ALL REQUIREMENTS COMPLETED --- IN-PROGRESS COURSES USED." If a student does not receive this message, he/she will not meet the requirements for graduation and will not receive a degree. Please reach out to the appropriate academic contact (MCAS — Karen Livingston; CSOM, CSON, and LSEHD — Jenna Burke) or your advisor or Academic Dean immediately to resolve any graduation clearance issue.
Register for Graduation.
Graduating students must register to attend graduation. You may register on the Commencement website. If you need wheelchair seating assistance for graduation, you may also indicate that on your registration. To ensure you have no issues on graduation day, please review your student account balance on the MyBill service of the . All balances must be paid no later than May 1 to avoid diploma and transcript holds at graduation.
Complete your Student Loan Exit Interview (graduating students).
Students graduating in May who have borrowed a Federal Stafford or a Federal GradPlus loan should complete an online exit interview at the Ìý·É±ð²ú²õ¾±³Ù±ð.
Students who have borrowed a Federal Perkins loan, С°¬µç¾º Law Loan, or С°¬µç¾º Federal Nursing Loan will need to complete their exit interview at the . You will receive an e-mail from ECSI with instructions.

Save the date for the Student Loan Information Session.
The Student Loan staff from the Office of Student Services invites all upcoming graduates to attend an informational presentation on student loan repayment on Monday, April 7 from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Devlin Hall 110.
Covered Topics:Â Need-to-know facts and the Do's and Don'ts of student loan repayment.
If you are unable to attend this session or seek personal assistance, student loan counseling is also available to all students who have questions on how to navigate loan repayment options. Please contact borrower@bc.edu to set up an appointment.

The 2025–26 Boston College Financial Aid Application priority deadline was March 1.Ìý°Õ³ó±ðÌý is now available online. You may check the status of your financial aid application in the .

Note the withdrawal deadline.
The last day to withdraw from a course or the University is April 22.

The Office of the Dean of Students (DOS) seeks to cultivate a culture of care where students feel safe and supported. Part of this culture is responding to reports of concern. Sign up for direct deposit.
As a graduating student, any meal plan credits over $5 (excluding the mandatory meal plan) will be refunded to your student account after Commencement. These amounts or any other payments being credited to your account may leave you with a refundable balance on your С°¬µç¾º account at the end of the school year.
The easiest and fastest way for Student Services to refund any credit balance to you is via direct deposit. We encourage you to sign up for direct deposit, so that we are able to refund any credit balance to you quickly.

Looking for a job?
The Summer 2025 job opportunities will be available on the Student Employment Job Listings page beginning in April. The С°¬µç¾º Career Center offers plenty of resources as well as tips on writing great resumes and cover letters when applying for student jobs. The current 2024–2025 Academic Year job listings will remain open until May 19, 2025. For students who have secured an on-campus job for the first time, please be sure to bring forms of identification (such as but not limited to, a valid/unexpired U.S. Passport, or a combination of a valid driver's license or Eagle ID card ²¹²Ô»åÌýSocial Security card or birth certificate) in original formats. No pictures or photocopies will be accepted. A full list of acceptable documents for Form I-9 completion can be found on the . International F-1 students will need to bring in their valid Foreign Passport along with their Forms I-94 ²¹²Ô»åÌýI-20 and Employment Authorization Letter from the Office of International Students and Scholars (OISS).

Federal regulations require that Title IV funds credited to your student account be applied only to cover allowable charges, unless Boston College obtains authorization to apply these funds to all other charges on your student account. Complete Direct Loan Entrance Counseling (if applicable).

We recommend that all students use direct deposit when requesting refunds. Refunds processed via direct deposit are faster and do not require pickup. Visit the Billing page for instructions and more information.
